Unresponsive photo picker should be fixed now (V 1.4). It happens to me, that I got blotches of paint on my painting where I don't want it. I asked about the zoom feature using the pinch-to-zoom gesture. Save crash issues should be solved in the most recent version 1.4. I asked various things and here are the answers:ġ. They are very hardworking to fix the issues. Some news about Psykopaint, I am still in contact with the developers. This is what Psykopaint calls a "Snapshot". When you save your work as, say, a JPG/PNG, all layers are "baked" together to only one layer, you lose all extra information that's in the layers. All layers, original photos and what not is there. This way you "Save" all the layers in this file, you lose nothing, you can always continue your work. Or in other words, if you know apps like PhotoShop: In PhotoShop you can save as a PSD file. A snapshot is just a plain image with no layers or any functionality put into your camera roll. What you lose by a snapshot is the connection to the underlying original photo. Usually, as a last step of your painting, you will do a snapshot when your painting is finished. From there you can recall your last paint session and continue your work.Ī "Snapshot" saves the actual painting to camera roll, it's like a screenshot, but with the actual resolution of the painting (2048x1536) and without any borders. You will find your saves in the apps section called "Atelier". "Save" puts the underlying original photo and your paintwork as separate layers into the apps memory. Therefore you want to "save" your work as a whole set (all layers and stuff) and continue painting later on whenever you like. When you use a photo as a basis to paint on, you will need this photo (plus the canvas plus your painting on top of it) as long as you want to continue to paint on it. My qoute of the eMail from one of the developers describes this better.įor the two save options, namely "Save" and "Snapshot". Because of the heavy technical stuff that's behind it when you paint. As far as I know, the apps max resolution is 2048x1536.
